Our files are stored on our computer and cloud storages and most of the time it happens that our files are duplicated. Duplicate files take lots of space on our computer and cloud storages.

If the storage space on our computer gets full then we can purchase a new drive or we can use a duplicate file remover program available to remove the duplicate files. However, if your online storage gets full then you have to upgrade to a bigger plan and it will cost you quite a lot of money.

Chrome comes with the extension that will help you to remove duplicate files from Google Drive. You can install the extension and then use the extension to remove the duplicates from Google Drive.

3. Remove duplicate files from cloud storages manually:

You can remove duplicate files from the cloud storages without using any duplicate finder and remover program.

Login to the cloud storage from which you want to remove duplicate files. Now open the folder from which you want to remove duplicate files and sort the files according to the names. Once the files are sorted you can remove the duplicate files. Before removing the files make sure that you are removing the duplicate files by opening them.

Manually deleting the duplicate files takes more time and the process may result in accidental deletion of non-duplicate files.

Before uploading the files to the cloud storages make sure that there are no duplicates. You can use Duplicate Files Fixer to remove duplicate files on your computer.

You can also check and remove duplicate files by checking their name. If the file has “Copy of” in front of the file name then it can be a duplicate file. You also have to keep check of the files you are uploading. Make sure that you are not uploading the files multiple times as multiple uploading of the same file will create duplication.
